YOSPIS Activity In Engaging Key Stakeholders To Advance Youth Reforms In Kano State
YOSPIS has been actively engaging key stakeholders in efforts to advance youth development reforms in Kano State.

Recently, the organization held a strategic engagement with Hon. Muhammad Nabil Daneji, Member representing Kano Municipal Constituency at the Kano State House of Assembly, on the proposed Youth Development Bill. The discussion centered on the need to replace the outdated Kano State Youth Edict of 1976 with a more modern and effective legal framework that reflects the realities and aspirations of today’s young people.

The proposed bill is designed to promote youth inclusion, enhance participation in governance, encourage skills acquisition and entrepreneurship, reduce unemployment and youth restiveness, and unlock the full potential of young people in Kano State.
Hon. Nabil Daneji reportedly reaffirmed his commitment to championing the bill, describing it as a vital step toward building a stronger and more prosperous future for the state’s youth.

The engagement also highlighted the importance of continued collaboration between lawmakers, civil society organizations, and youth-focused groups in ensuring the successful passage and implementation of the bill.

YOSPIS Nigeria, through its advocacy efforts, continues to position itself as a strong voice for youth development and social change in Kano State, working towards a future where young people are empowered, engaged, and fully represented in governance processes.
